She was predeceased by: her husband Ray C. Southworth; and her parents, Montgomery Searles and Aurora Searles. She is survived by: her sister Isabel S. Carneal; and her nieces and nephews, Cliff Galyen, Jr., Eddie Delano, Lee Roy Searles, Roy Allen Searles, Victor Jordan, Mark Carneal, Carolyn Lampert, Sharon Cardin and Tamara Parks.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary Washington Hospice.
