Smith; her children, Dr. Timothy O. Smith, Gretna Y. Smith (Donna Cottrell Smith) of Virginia Beach, VA, Amy R. Smith of Spotsylvania, Virginia and Thomas J. Louden of Fredericksburg, Virginia; her stepgrandson Stephen K. Cottrell of Hopkinsville, KY; her goddaughter Chelsea Helms of Temecula, CA; and her sister-in-law Rose Amy of Middlesex, VA.. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Red Cross.
