She was predeceased by: her parents, Stuard Benjamin and Rosa Ella Hanger Gilmer; and her siblings, Homer B., James Walter, Stuard Clemmer, Preston Hogshead, Everette Homan Delaney, Ewell Guy Gilmer, Cooper Gilmer, Iona Mae Gilmer Lightner, Mary Emma Gilmer Griffith and Rosa Gilmer Hildebrand of Virginia.
She is survived by: her son Dennis Nathan Via (Lynn); the mother of her child Michelle Dawn Via Jones (Wesley); her son Jason Michael Via; her daughter-in-law Rebekah Eaton; and her great grandchildren, Aubrey, Chelsea Jones, Lachlan Eaton and Lilias Via.
