He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl P. Schmidt and Helena Koehler Schmidt; his siblings, Marie Greenwalt, Arnold Schmidt and Karl Schmidt; and his stepson John Ogle.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Lundy; and his daughter Laurie Tryfiates (Panagiotis). He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Fredericksburg Christian School or Redeemer Lutheran Church.
