It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Newton Dent of Fredericksburg, Virginia, who passed away on February 27, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Newton Dent to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Dent and Herbert Dent; and his siblings, Bobby Dent, Joanie Dent, Shirley Schlegel, Tommy Dent and Billy Dent.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Dent; his sons, Christopher Dent and Newton Dent, Jr.; and his siblings, Barbara Ann Maddox (Larry), Sing Liming, Judy Whitacre, Leroy Dent, Sandy Kay Hills (Larry), Norma Conner (Mike), Doris Bailey (Ronnie) and Doug Dent (Susan). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, step-children, grandchildren, great nieces and nephews, and his in-laws.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local homeless shelter of your choice, as Woody loved helping anyone and everyone he could. Or donations may be made to the Ramoth Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in his memory.
