He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Shiflett and Patricia Shiflett. He is survived by: his wife Diana Shiflett; and his sisters, Cheri Greene, Karen Dunnivan, Patti Riddle (Roger) and Brenda Blonigen (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice (493 Blackwell Rd., Ste. 319, Warrenton, VA 20186).
