It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Flaherty of Fredericksburg, Virginia, who passed away on January 5, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Daniel McAuliffe and Julia McAuliffe; her husband Denis Flaherty; her children, Eilise Flaherty, Ellen Brewster (Steve) and Kenneth Flaherty (Karen); and her sister Eileen Areyzaga. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
