She was predeceased by: her father Bennie Pitts; her husband Vincent L. Carr, Sr.; and her sisters, Dorothy P. Thomas, Daisy P. Smithers and Margaret P. Fulford.
She is survived by: her sons, Vincent L. Carr, Jr. (Barbara) and Dwight E. Carr (Gail); her grandson Trevor D. Carr (Arielle); her siblings, Judy Beach and Donald R. Pitts (Betty); and her brother-in-law Edward A. Fulford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ferry Farm Baptist Church (1 Westmoreland Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22405).
