He is survived by: his sons, Scott Johnson (Michelle) of Tennessee and Leonard Jones of Virginia; his significant other Joanne Ellingsworth; and his siblings, Mary Shelton, Diane Brite (Willie), Woodrow Shelton (Brenda) and Mark Shelton (Irene). He is also survived by four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
