He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Bennett and Effie Bennett; his wife Lynda W. Bennett of Fredericksburg; his children, Stephen Bennett of Milton, Florida, Jennifer Welborn of Fredericksburg, Amy Woodrum of Georgetown, KY and Richard Dietz of Fredericksburg; his pet Brooklyn; and his son Brian Bennett. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mary Washington Hospice, or the church music fund.
