She was predeceased by: her parents, Swiss and Sebastian (Marion Padrun); her former husband Joseph D. O'Connor; her daughter-in-law Joyce H. O'Connor; and her sister Jane Landucci.
She is survived by: her husband Joe; her children, Joseph O'Connor, Jr. (Debbie) of Charlotte, NC, Annette Sweeney (Robert) of Ramsey, NJ, Thomas O'Connor of Fredericksburg, Elizabeth Jarrell (James III) of Fredericksburg and Timothy O'Connor (Elizabeth) of Williamsburg, VA; her grandchildren, James IV (Stephanie), Moriah (Tyler), Julianne (Jon), Shalan, Tommy, John, Mary, Colin, Charlie and Will; and her great grandchildren, Olive, Jack and Annie.
Julia had many hobbies including gardening, sewing, needlepoint, jigsaw puzzles, reading, playing Word Chums, drawing, and doing Jazzercise (which she continued into her early 90s until Covid interrupted life).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Julia's name to Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank (3631 Lee Hill Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22408).
