He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent and Agnes Carroll; and his brother Jerry. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Philip of Seattle, Eric (Jshurene) of Alameda, Calif. and Elizabeth Sutera Collins (Brian) of Annandale; his grandchildren, Elijah, Catherine Sutera and Brooke Collins; and his siblings, Jim, Joe, Jeff, Jay, Charlie, Joan and Jean. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
