He was predeceased by: his father John "Jack" E. Rizer. He is survived by: his mother Christine Flaherty Rizer; his brother Patrick Kenneth Rizer of Fredericksburg; his uncle Patrick Flaherty (Joan); and his cousins, Col. Patrick Flaherty, Michael Flaherty and Kathleen Flaherty.
