He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Garland; his parents, John Garland and Alice Garland; and his siblings, Conley Garland and Jean Graves.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Shelton (Patrick) and Kelly Gibson (Curtis); his grandchildren, Rachel Gibson and Seth Gibson; his great grandchild Spencer; his siblings, Catherine Peek (Gordon) and Charles Garland (Brenda); and his niece Betty Sullivan.
