It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan S. Firehammer (Fredericksburg, Virginia), who passed away on January 6, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Beulah K. Porter and Payne M. Gentry. She is survived by: her husband George L. Firehammer; her son Riche Rawlings (late Nancey); and her great grandchildren, Ashton, Cameron, Caison Reichert, CJ, Landon Norvell and Anna Lee Rawlings.
She was one of the original docents at the National Museum of the Marine Corps and served faithfully until covid.
