He was predeceased by: his parents, Joshua H. Wilkerson and Fletcher J. Smith Wilkerson; and his son James H. "Jimmy" Wilkerson, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann; his daughter Sandra Wilkerson Brown; his son-in-law Robert "Andy" Brown; his brother-in-law W. Thomas "Tommy" Jones (Debbie); and his nieces and nephews, Buddy, Tucker, Abby "Brillo" and Coal. He is also survived by four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
