He was predeceased by: his wife Tina Ryan Peyton; his daughter Nicole Peyton; and his siblings, W. C., Ray, Wayne Peyton, Phyllis Peyton and Bessie Pritchett.

He is survived by: his son Derrick (Lindsey); his grandchildren, Ryley and Isla; and his brother Cecil Peyton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
