He was predeceased by : his parents, James Johnson and Betty Johnson; and his children, Mary Y. Johnson and James J. Johnson, II. He is survived by : his wife Carrie B. Johnson; and his children, Tara M. Johnson, Betty D. Davis (Macon), Stanley V. Johnson (Patricia), John H. Lewis, Carrie R. Jackson, Shelia R. Brooks (Bryan) and Zona L. Elmore (Kevin). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
