He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Ann Cornwell; his parents, Marjorie V. Cornwell and Howard M. Cornwell; and his brother Daniel Cornwell. He is survived by: his siblings, Gerald Cornwell of Oklahoma and Judy Kay Teevan (Frank) of Woodbridge, VA; his children, Drema Joyce Hough of Fredericksburg, VA, Wayne Cornwell of Patchogue, NY and Teressa Taylor Griffis (Mark) of Stafford, VA.; his grandchildren, Krystal Pritchett, Nicholas Hough (Stacie), Benjamin Cornwell (Maggie), Jordan Taylor, Danielle Cornwell, Alexa Taylor and Amanda Taylor; his great grandchild Addison Hough; his nieces, Melanie Cihak, Allyson Teevan and Laura Bridges; his great-nephews, Theodore and Matthew; his great-niece Elizabeth; and his close friend Nancy Purks.
