She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Nelson and Nellie Nelson (Bricker); her husband Peter Metz of Jay County; and her siblings, George, Paul, Mary Edna and Bettie.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melanie Swauger (Ernest) of Fredericksburg, VA and Tamara Ringwald (Brandon) of Highland Heights, KY; and her grandchildren, Peter (Sara), Liz (Jason), Abigail (Peter), Nathan, Charlie and Joe. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
