He is survived by: his wife Athalea; his brother Gene Mastin of Fredericksburg, VA; and his children, Darrell (Diane), Zach, Rachel, Ford (Terri), Linsey, Trevor, Kaeley, Kyle (Ivonne), Alex, Nikki, Gene (Heather), Josh and Nina.
