He was predeceased by: his mother Martha Elizabeth Cross of Suffolk Virginia; his brother Harry Lee Howe (Cindy Zintsmaster); and also Persis Howe. He is survived by: his children, Frederic N. Howe, III, Martha Irene Brooks, Dianne Lorraine Purin and Amy Etheridge Wiedle; his grandchildren, F. N. Howe IV, Shannon Howe Pea, Holly Brooks and Amanda Brooks Meteyer; and his children, Megan Purin, Houston and Garrett Wiedle.
