He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Murphy and Margaret Murphy; his children, Kevin Murphy (Nancy), David Murphy (Laura), Geoffry Murphy (Kay), Daniel Murphy (Kimberly) and Lisa Phillips; and his brother Albert Murphy of Columbia, Maryland.. He was also cherished by fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
