With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernest Ronald Houck of Fredericksburg, Virginia, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on January 1, 2021 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ernest Ronald Houck to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George T. Houck of Ashe County and Dorothy Hubble Houck (Beep) of Smyth County, Virginia.; his sister Donna Houck (Compton); his nephew Todd Houck; and his niece Greta Houck.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy M. Umberger; his children, Russell Houck of Culpeper, Virginia and Rhonda Houck-Morofsky (Bryan) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; his granddaughters, Ashley, Kaitlin Vose, Macie and Livvie Houck; his brother Edd Houck (Dana) of Spotsylvania, Virginia; his nieces, Missy Compton Thompson and Beth Compton Stover; and also Dorothy Umberger-Houck. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, a celebration of Ronnie's life will take place Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 1 p. m. at the Ceres School Gym (Ceres Community Center), 43 Ruritan Drive, Ceres, Va. 24318.
