She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Wood Boughan, Jr. and Mariam Adams Guthrie Boughan of West Point, Virginia.. She is survived by: her husband John Richard Dodson; and her daughter Jennifer Leigh Dodson of Fredericksburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zoan Baptist Church or the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank.
