She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Carroll Prince and Eula Greene Kennedy; her husband Samuel E. Saunders Jr.; her daughter Elizabeth (Liz); and her sisters, Gloria Berberich and Jennelle Covert.
She is survived by: her children, Samuel (Mary) of Charlottesville, David (Barbara) of Richmond and Jennelle S. Williams, MD (Scott) of Chapel Hill, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
