It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Franklin Hawkins of Fredericksburg, Virginia, born in Washington, Virginia, who passed away on January 18, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Hawkins and Annie Hawkins (Bennett); and his siblings, Jean Alther (Hawkins), Dorothy Burke (Hawkins), William Hawkins, Robert Hawkins and Roger Hawkins.
He is survived by: his wife V. Catherine Hawkins (Lillard); his sister Mabel Burke (Hawkins) of Woodville, VA.; his daughter Vicki Lynn Gera (Hawkins); his son-in-law Glenn Victor Gera of Springfield, VA; his son Edward Bryant "Butch" Hawkins; his daughter-in-law Rosa Hawkins (Payne) of Fredericksburg, VA; his grandchildren, Stefanie Bacon, Lindsey Colombo, Robert Hawkins and Kelly Hawkins; and his great grandchildren, Klara Donelson, James Colombo, Oliver Bacon, Charlotte Colombo and Carter Bacon. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
