Duane C. Thornton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane C. Thornton of Fredericksburg, Virginia, who passed away on October 8, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Marge Buechl and George Buechl (Marie); his sister-in-law Bonnie Kinney; and his stepfather Don Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Heather Thornton of Fredericksburg, VA, Jennifer Thornton, Krista Thornton, Brittany Whalley (Joshua), Kim Villecco (Marco) and Andrew Thornton (Kayla); his mother Ruth Robinson of Canada; his brothers-in-law, Jim Buechl of Boston, MA and Dave Kinney (Sandy) of Michigan; and his grandchildren, Abby, Tyler, Jackson, Addison, Jonathon, Mila and Morgan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday October 13th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc., 340 West Ave., Brockport where masks are mandated and social distancing protocols will be followed.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Holley Elementary PTSA, 3800 N. Main St., Holley, NY 14470. A portion of the donations will go toward a scholarship for a high school senior wishing to pursue a career in pipe fitting.
