With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Bowen Swain (Fredericksburg, Virginia), who passed away on May 21, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Bowen and Nellie Parks Bowen; and her husband John H. Swain, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Kathy Dowell; her siblings, Charles C. Bowen, Catherine Spring, Janice Benthall, Maxine Lugo, David Bowen, Earl Bowen and William Bowen; her grandchildren, Sarah Marie Dowell and Jamie Katherine Bowen; and her great grandchildren, Emmy E. Dowell and Rowan James Dowell.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service will be held at Warrenton Cemetery.
