She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Fletcher and Susie Washington Fletcher Lindsay of Spotsylvania, Virginia.; her stepfather Horace Lindsay, Sr.; her siblings, Mary Frances Johnson, Pauline Gittens, Lewis Bobby Fletcher, Ruebin Roger Fletcher, Scott Russell Fletcher, Sr., Clinton Bernard Fletcher, Sr. and Benjamin Warren Fletcher; her siblings-in-law, Harold T. Minor, Bernard E. Jackson, Landonia Fletcher and Audrey Fletcher; and her great grandchild Isaiah Chew.
She is survived by: her significant other John Henry Minor, III; her brother Horace A. Lindsay, Jr. (Cora) of Las Vegas, NV; her grandchildren, Joseph Benjamin Chew of Spotsylvania, Christopher John Chew (Jennifer) of Spotsylvania, Jason Tyrone Chew of Spotsylvania, Jade Denise Haskins (Roland) and Tyra Gale Foster (Tevin); her great grandchildren, Kamryn, Kris, Kaylee, Kenzley Chew, Ryan Foster and Wesley Haskins; her siblings-in-law, George Minor (Dorothy) of Fredericksburg, Clarance Minor (Joyce) of Fredericksburg, Fred Minor (Vernell) of Fredericksburg, Shelva J. Fletcher of Spotsylvania, Alice Fletcher of Spotsylvania, Deloris M. Wright of Spotsylvania, Elaine Minor of Stafford and Gladys E. Jackson of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her daughter-in-law Thelma Ivey; and her friend Carrie Berryman. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the A. L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home (200 Butternut Dr, Fredericksburg, VA 22408). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
