He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac W. Sims and Muriel Sims. He is survived by: his brothers, Isaac "Sonny" of Denver, CO, Elmer "Pete" of Chesterfield, VA, Lorenzo Sims, James "Ben" Sims of Spotsylvania, VA and Lynn Smith of Durham, NC; his nieces and nephews, Lisa Smith-Pena, Monica Sims, Meredith Sims, Ayanna Sims, Michael Smith, Lamar Sims, Lance Sims, Corey Sims and LaJuan Sims; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kendall Sims, Lauryn Sims, Kinsley Sims, Dante McNeal and Nathan Sims. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
