He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel James and Elizabeth Teresa Callahan Himmel; and his brothers, Robert and Edward Himmel. He is survived by: his wife Jean Wells Himmel; his sister Agnes Matthews; his sister-in-law Katherine Ray; his children, Susan Beston, Patricia Theiler (Fred), Daniel Himmel Jr. (Carol), David Himmel, Michael Himmel and John Himmel (Chris); his stepchildren, Liane Munnikhuysen (David) and Jeffrey Palmer (Melissa); his grandchildren, Amber Townsend (Scott), Joseph Beston, Suzanne Duckworth, Christine Chavarria, Patricia Kwong (Robert), David Himmel Jr., Jessica Knox, Brian Himmel, Faith Himmel, Jacquelyn Himmel, Danielle Himmel, Senna Munikhuyen (Kyle Bloemer), Shelley Zippay (Brett), Matthew Palmer and Bennett Palmer; his great grandchildren, Rian Craig, Trinity Daniels, Joseph Chavarria, Madelyn Kwong, Tahlia Kwong, Bobby Kwong, Cadence Kwong and Emelia Knox; his great great grandchildren, Camila Daniels and Isabella Daniels; and his friends, Jasmyn, Chris, Mia Boyd, Jillian, Travis Theiler, Braelyn, Morgan, Kara, Kylie Bailey and Ronald Sanders.
