It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Lynn Jones of Fredericksburg, Virginia, born in Paterson, New Jersey, who passed away on May 21, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert G. Cotton, Sr. and Janet York; her brother Robert Cotton; and her grandson Austin Jones. She is survived by: her husband Robert L. Jones; her children, Tonya Johnson and Casey Jones; her siblings, Gloria Burdette, Bonnie Lumpkins, Cassandra "Cat" Wheeler, Kimberly Shaffer, Bret and Bart Cotton; her grandchildren, Kendra Johnson, Caleb Jones, Liyah Jones and Nathan Johnson; and her great grandchild Avery Joseph. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
