He was predeceased by: his parents, Katheryn Walker and Howard Thomas Courtney; his nephew Clayton Courtney; and his brother H. T. Courtney, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Linda A. Courtney; his sons, Cecil Raymond "Ray" Courtney, Jr. (Graceila) and Jonathan Courtney; his siblings, Roland W. Courtney (Hilda) of Lancaster County, David Courtney (Carol) of Arizona and Mary Sue Courtney of Lancaster County; and his grandsons, Raymond Courtney and Sawyer Courtney. He is also survived by four nephews and one niece; and several great nieces and nephews.
