It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine B. Pitts of Fredericksburg, Virginia, who passed away on May 13, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Burton and Thelma Burton; and her brothers, Randolph "Ranny" and Daniel "Danny" Burton. She is survived by: her brother Wayne Burton (Regina); her husband Claude Pitts, Jr.; her children, Kevin Pitts (Caryn), Burton Pitts (Angie) and Janelle Smith (Jimmy); her family, Darren (Sandi), Patrick (Megan), Katrina (Bobby) and Mike; her friends, Katherine "Peepsie" Burgess and Lynn Butler; and her close friend Molly. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
