She was predeceased by: her parents, Guiseppe Mazzella and Congetta Mazzella; and her husband Charles J. Sterner Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Charles Sterner III (Sheila) of Fredericksburg, VA and John Sterner (Julie); her sister Patricia Pacifico (Pat) of Hicksville, NY.; and her grandchildren, Charles Sterner IV of Huntsville, AL, Mark Sterner (Leana) of Houston, TX and Jillian Sterner. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests a donation to Carolina's hometown Church which she loved and supported for over 50 years.
