He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Gustaf and Eva Katherine Sheppard Levander; and his siblings, Charles Richard Levander, Dale Hoyt Levander and Mary Natalie Elmendorf.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Denise Fuhrman; his children, Carl Wayne Levander (Sallie), Karen Levander Clotfelter (George) and David Alan Levander; and his granddaughter Cathryn Butler Levander.
