He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Hawkins and Sarah Hawkins; his wife Evelyn "Evie" Streetman; and his children, James Alan of Lorton, Michael Lee of Fredericksburg and Carol Lynn (Neb) of Bellevue. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
