Calvin Piland Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Calvin Piland of Fredericksburg, Virginia, born in Gatesville, North Carolina, who passed away on May 12, 2021 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Piland and William Piland; his daughter Colleen Shealy; and his brother William U. Piland. He is survived by: his wife Henrietta Piland; his children, Sheryl Piland, Calvin Scott Piland, Jr. and Anthony Piland (Marilou); his stepson Rodney Jackson (Cynthia); and his siblings, Thomas Piland (Ammie), Betty Hall (Arthur) and Claudia Weston (Jonathan). He is also survived by four brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
