It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Wharton Skinner (Fredericksburg, Virginia), who passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Brenda Wharton departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Brenda Wharton may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Brenda Wharton leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her daughter Michelle Skinner Beale. She is survived by: her husband Benjamin W. Skinner; and her children, Theresa Skinner Payne (Tuck) and John David Skinner (Ann). She is also survived by her husband and children.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Covenant Funeral Service - Fredericksburg (10830 Patriot Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22408). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church (1009 Stafford Ave, Fredericksburg, VA 22401). A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (1902 Plank Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22401).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Spotsylvania Fire Department.
