She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Alvin Powell and Flossie "Janie" Imogene Powell; her grandmother Delia Betty Smith; her siblings, Alvin Dew Brooks and Connie Gay Champ; and her great-nephews, Chance Logan Jett and Brodie Layne King.
She is survived by: her husband Frank A. Brent, Sr.; her children, Brenda Jean, Julie L. Brent and Frank A. Brent, Jr. (Tom Patterson); her sisters, Jackie Gordon, Hulda Elswick, Ruby Cooper (Brad), Deannie Wood (Billy) and Amy Ennis (Charles); her nieces and nephews, Betty Wratchford, Delia Ennis (Steven Caylor), Caitlyn Datesman (Brian), Brandy Brady (Ronnie), Branson and Dennis Roberson (Theresa); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Shannon Jacobs, Karissa Roberson, Chrissy Blake, Josie Wilson, Belle Gallimore, Layla Smith, Jacob Roberson, Timmy Hoffman (Samantha), David Wratchford, Daniel Jacobs and Jacob Smith; her sister Anne Krause (Calvin); her friend Becky Simmons; and also James Wilson Wratchford.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to a cancer organization in Brenda's name.
