We are sad to announce that on November 4, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Bonnie Hockaday Simms (Fredericksburg, Virginia). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Tasker Hockaday and Lucille Hockaday; and her brother Kenneth. She is survived by: her husband Ray Simms; her stepchildren, Chip Simms (Anke) and Lori Dreany (Butch) of Fredericksburg; her grandchildren, Tess Patterson (Charlie), Trey Simms (Stephanie), Meghan, Charlotte and Jack Dreany; her siblings-in-law, Robert Potts, Roy Simms, Pearl Johnson of Fredericksburg and Jeanne P. Hockaday of Gloucester, VA; her nephew Rodney Hockaday (Amanda); and her niece Rhonda Hockaday. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Knights of Pythias Hall (330 Wallace Ln, Fredericksburg, VA 22408).

Those wishing to extend expressions of sympathy are encouraged to donate to their local animal shelter, such as the Spotsylvania shelter where Bonnie and Ray just adopted the handsome kitty, "Li'l Buddy.".
