He is survived by: his wife Nancy Onderdonk Carter; his son Mark T. Carter; his grandchildren, Christopher Carter (Holly), Michael Carter (Rebecca) and Heather Carter Payne; his daughter-in-law Karen Carter; his brothers, Jeffrey S. Carter and Dwight Carter (Bonnie); his sisters-in-law, Shirley Onderdonk and Athena Carter; and his friend Betty Bradshaw.
