With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Austin Lee Petitt Sr. of Fredericksburg, Virginia, who passed away on February 21, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Petitt and Sally Petitt; his wife Karen Petitt; and his siblings, George Petitt Jr., Mike Petitt, Charlie Petitt, Betty Quigley, Nancy Jones and Mary Etta Morris.

He is survived by: his children, Austin Petitt Jr., Robert Petitt (Jill), Chris Petitt and Shelley Petitt; his grandchildren, Samantha Krause (Brandon), Alexander Strianese, Torie Petitt, Charlie Petitt, Robbie Petitt, Kyle Beer, Chazen Petitt and Lil Chris Petitt; his great grandchildren, Kayden Krause, Karsen Krause, Carter and McKenzie; and his sisters, Margaret Rogers and Patricia Fox Miller.
