It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robin Rich-Coates of Franktown, Virginia, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on May 10, 2022, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Robert Emmerson Rich. She is survived by: her mother Dorothy Lee Miles Rich of West Friendship, MS; her husband Curtis Ray Coates; and her sister Janice Quinn (Jack) of Maryland. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“I am so glad I knew Robin. I worked with her thru Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, where she was a leader locally, regionally & internationally. She was smart, generous, and passionate about learning and helping students. Even after she retired, she stayed involved as a volunteer. One memory stands out for me-- Robin attended many of our summer Honors Institutes, and sang in the choir. She sang with gusto, and it was evident how much she enjoyed life! So grateful to her family who shared her.”
