He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Manning Arnold (H. M.) and Hilda Fox Arnold; his wife Georgia Speliotis Arnold; and his siblings, Charles Arnold, Soule Arnold, H. M. Arnold, Jr. and Anne Arnold.
He is survived by: his children, Joanne Arnold Roberts (Ray Roberts) of Hillsboro, Texas and James Allen Arnold Jr. (Ellen Arnold) of Austin; and his grandchildren, Jay Allen Arnold III, Blake Allen Roberts, Kathryn Kyler Arnold, Nicole Eva Bryant and Kelly Marie Roberts. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
