We are sad to announce that on March 9, 2022, at the age of 94, Clara Ann James (Franktown, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Pettit Ashby and Helen Lolita Ames Ashby; her spouse Francis Coleman James, Sr.; her siblings, Thomas Pettit Ashby, Jr. (Rebecca) and Patricia Ames Ashby Robinson (Willard); and her daughter Kate Ashby Gibb.
She is survived by: her children, Keziah Gibb Chiles (Mort) of Culpeper, VA, Francis C. James, Jr. (Sallie) of Franktown, VA and Ann Pettit James of Nassawadox, VA.; and her great grandchildren, Perrin Chiles (Caroline), Kate Ashby Bachta (Michael) of Richmond, VA, Coleman James (Katelin) of Nassawadox, VA and Sarah James Arguello (Norman) of Gaithersburg, MD. She is also survived by four grandchildren.
