He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Wamer Lewis Mayes, Sr.; his wife Sherry Duncan Mayes; his children, Katie Joyner, Taylor Joyner, Allyson Hall and Lewis Mayes; his mother Kathleen Morris Mayes; his brothers, Fred Mayes (Amy) and Andy Mayes (Michelle); his mother-in-law Dianne Duncan Hirsch (Harvey); and his sister-in-law Becky Whitehurst.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.org.
