It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Murphy Lee of Franklin, Virginia, born in Newton Grove, North Carolina, who passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Murphy and Ruth Murphy; her grandmother Essie (Miss Shirley); her husband John "Randy" Lee; and her siblings, Hetty, Carolyn, Jennette and Clayton Murphy.
She is survived by: her sons, Jay R. Lee (Ellen) and John "Marty" Lee (Heather); her grandchildren, Zachary Lee and Jordan Lee Wright (Jeremy); and her great grandchildren, Oliver Wright and Beckham Wright. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and requests that in lieu of flowers, the memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Goshen New Life Church in Faison, NC.
