She was predeceased by: her parents, William B. Tierney and Evelyn Crandall Tierney; her husband James Slade Howell; and her siblings, Susie Smith and William Tierney.
She is survived by: her daughter Beth Howell Cheatham (Barry) of Franklin; her granddaughters, Amy Cheatham and Sarah E. Blackburn (Sean); and her great grandchildren, Christopher, Reagan and Katherine Blackburn.
